Individual treatment charges are remotely recorded by Koppers to verify consistency, quality and chemical loading into the timber, which gives our customers confidence that treated products from Anglo Norden meet industry standards every time.
The Durable Choice for Garden Timber Projects
Celcurised Timber is the industry recognised term for timber that has been preserved with an Koppers Performance Chemicals Celcure® brand preservative system, based on an effective combination of copper and organic co-biocides. With more than 25 years of empirical evidence in locations throughout Europe, North America, Australia and Japan, Celcure® preservatives have a proven track record of performance.
Pressure treated to force the preservative deep into the wood structure it provides protection where it matters. Timber treated using this system is suitable for Use Classes UC1, UC2, UC3 and UC4, including fencing, timber decking, landscaping timbers and construction timbers.
Colour and Surface Protection
As a matter of good practice, any exposed timber, preserved or not, should be protected from the weather. Enhanced weather protection can be obtained through the application a weather resistant finish. Application of a quality clear water repellent or semi-transparent stain is recommended. Alternatively, deck oil can be used to maintain a modern natural look. Always follow manufacturer’s recommendations.
Preserved Wood Appearance
Celcurised Timber will initially have a green appearance that highlights the natural variations of the wood; this will weather to an attractive natural honey brown colour before finally fading to a driftwood grey after long term exposure to the sun. Celcure® treated wood products can be painted or stained to match any outdoor colour scheme. Always follow manufacturer’s recommendations.
